My aim with this print was to create as many apparent colours as possible by applying only 2, using overlay and the illusion of simultaneous contrast. The main colour illusion in this print can be seen at the top left and bottom right hand corner, where the latter burgundy lines are exactly the same as the blue-green lines at the top left corner. A further colour illusion can be seen across the central panel in this particular colourway, where the central red lines appear magenta pink, but they are actually the same red as the top right corner.
